I'm surprised to hear that your P-B unit is 3 times the cost of similar units from other manufacturers. I checked out a lot of manufacturers before I selected my P-B Goodnight 318, and there was not much of a price difference. You may want to check with one of the discount/mail order suppliers like Phoenix CPAP Services (http://www.cyberearth.com/cpap/index.html) to see if you can find a better price on the P-B unit. I purchased my unit and based my decision in part on the purchase price.

I chose the P-B unit over Respironics and Healthdyne units I tried because the P-B unit was quieter, offered better features, and appeared to be of very high quality. I've been very happy with it.

I have no association with Nellcor Puritan Bennett or any of the other manufacturers, or with Phoenix CPAP Services. I'm simply a satisfied user.
