Thanks a lot for the message (Ed & Richard). I think professional help is a must for narcoleptics. As of now, I find temporary relief by drinking strong coffee. I wasn't a coffee drinker until about 3 days ago. This somehow reduces my excessive sleepiness but I should not be fully dependent on its stimulant effect. I do agree with you about its dangers. My work sometimes demands me to climb up microwave towers (up to 100 meters high). But getting actively involved in something somehow prevents me from dozing off. And that probably keeps me alive. I haven't been involved in a big accident due to my sleepiness and that's probably why I'm deferring the need to seek professional help. But now that I shared perspectives with you, going to a sleep center would be one of my priorities.
