what you have to realize is that your doctor is speaking about your specific symptoms. the 50% is correct over a wide range of people and symptoms. The obstructions can occur in different places in different people, and some individuals could have a 10% and some people could have an 85% change of curing the apnea.

I am in the process of scheduling the sergury, and my doctor has told me that in his experience I have about a 70% chance of curing the aphea completely. That percentage is based on my symptoms.
