Best sleep positions vary between individuals. For most, once you hit your 30's, the best position is probably of the back. Increases the incidence of sleep apnea. Left and right will vary. One study I read recently stated that the best position for you to sleep in is the one you find yourself in when you wake up. So if you notice that you go to bed on your right side and always wake on your left try starting out on the left and see what happens. Of course if someone has full blown OSA no position is a total cure.
