Sleep Apena can't sleep

I had sugery the other day and while I was under I would not breathe on my own for awhile(elbow sugery). They kept me over night for observation and they said I probably had sleep apnea because I was on a monator that kept goi ng off. And sience then I have looked up sleep apnea on the net, made an appointment with a sleep clinic but I cant sleep. I dose off for no more than an hour now . I am tired and not in to much pain but still cant sleep. Anyone have any suggestions?
