Sleep paralysis

Posted by Kim Baker on January 17, 1998 at 21:19:00:

I recently learned that sleep paralysis is a symptom or part of narcolepsy. Other than being slightly sleepy at work, I have no other symptoms of narcolepsy. Does this mean I'm narcoleptic, or is the sleep paralysis just a disease in itself? Usually the only times I experience the paralysis is when I have endured considerable mental and physical fatigue. I was diagnosed 3-1/2
years ago with clinical depression, but I have had the paralysis off and on for 8 years, and I wonder if the two are somehow connected.
