masks

Posted by Dan on January 18, 1998 at 11:32:04:

I have just started cpap and I am having a great deal of difficulty with the mask. I have a sore on the bridge of my nose and so I took off the foam spacer and this seemed to solve the problem but now I have a sore between my eyes just on the right side. When I adjust the velcro straps to make it looser I get leaks when I lay down. HELP!! This is becoming frustating. Since I am so new to this I am unsure of the type of mask, but I think it is a Goldseal. The padding is a goldish yellow color. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone have information concerning a new type of mask called a MIRAGE, it is not available through my supplier yet.
Thanks
