Sleep paralysis does rarely occur with other disorders besides narcolepsy. Once or twice in a lifetime is even considered still normal. 8 years though, hmmmm. Not linked to depression to my knowledge. Symptoms of narcolepsy do often develope years apart, and some patients never do develope all of them. Any OTHER symptoms of narcolepsy present?
