Some individuals have skin problems resulting from the contact with masks. It appears that one answer is to use a variety of appliances, so as to rotate the areas of the face which must bear the pressure of the mask, so that relief of irritation can be obtained before skin breakdown occurs.

There are many mask options out there. Consider also nasal pillows; always use good skin care, and properly cleanse your equipment.
