Hi JD,
Thanks for responding. It is not seasonal, I have recently confirmed that I have no allergies, and I think I may have tried every antihistamine/decongestant available. CPAP pressure has been raised once and is now set on 12.
The steroids provided me with the first good nights sleep I've had in a year and a half. Overnight studies showed 107 events per hour and that at no point in a seven hour study did I sleep for more than a minute. During sleep latency tests the next day, I was asked to try to fall asleep 4 times. I slept all 4 times dropping out in as little as 5 minutes. As you can imagine, this has had a profoundly negative affect on all aspects of my life. Surely there must be some medication that can mimic the steroids. If not, as I told my wife yesterday, I would rather live 10 more years awake and alert than 30 more like this. Any help you may provide will be greatly appreciated.
Jeff
