I've had two different dental/ortho appliances made and both worked like a dream! Oximetry after first appliance showed remarkable improvement in apnea. Only problem is that both of them loosened my teeth or made them hurt enough to raise a red flag. The first dentist didn't seem to care that my teeth were loose, so went to my kids orthodontist - he was intrigued and made a device for me. Works great! He attached a couple of brackets on the top and on the bottom teeth and I just rubber band my jaws together with the device wedged between my teeth. Very comfortable, etc., but have recently begun noticing that those 4 teeth are hurting. Am now looking into a possible surgical alternative because I absolutely will not do CPAP for the next 50 years of my life!
