Posted by Meech on November 05, 1997 at 06:15:32:I have had chronic insomnia now since mid April 97 .Prior to this date I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep like a pro. During exam time is the only time I had difficulty falling asleep and out of stupidity decided to take some prescription sleeping pills to help me doze off. They worked but when exams were over I could no longer sleep the way I had before. I visited my family docotr who referred me to a psychiatrist. I told him my error and he told me that I had not taken the pills long enough and in doses high enough to develop an addiction despite the fact I began to develop a tolerance to them. He believed that I was depressed even though I had no other symptoms besides difficulty falling asleep. I havce been on every drug imaginable. Elavil worked but had toomnay side effects. Nothing elese has worked. I am now on Nosinan and I'm still up. Anybody have any success with this drug? I need help. I fear I'll never get back to normal.
