Child's Problem Falling Asleep

Posted by susan peppercorn on November 05, 1997 at 06:22:14:

My 9 year old daughter has a terrible time falling asleep. She feels terrified and is afraid that something/someone will hurt her. No amount of reassurance seems to help. I have been giving her a homeopathic remedy comprised mostly of camomile and hops which seemed to work for a short time. We have also tried deep breathing to no avail. It sometimes takes her 2 hours to fall asleep. I am thinking of taking her to a sleep clinic since this has been going on for months. Recommendations for someone in the Boston area and any other suggestions would be appreciated.
