exercise and OSA

Posted by John Reynolds on November 16, 1997 at 07:31:36:

I have OSA and recently I have started to try and tighten the muscles controlling my palate by exercising the muscles in the roof of my mouth. I start by imitating a yawn and then focusing the tension on the back of the mouth. I do notice that I have been dreaming more then I have in years but I can't say if this the cause or it is because of my change in sleeping positions. It may also be that I am focusing more on remembering the dreams. Does anyone have any information on exercising those specific muscles and the effectiveness of toning those muscles?
