sleep deprivation experiment.

Hi;
I'm a seventh grade student doing my science fair experiment on sleep deprivation. Could anyone offer a suggestion for how to measure the effects of sleep deprivation. My freinds have volunteered to go without sleep, but I'm not sure how to measure how the lack of sleep affects them. Thanks for your help.
