I had problems at first also. I tried a machine that ramped up and still woke up uncomfortable at night. Good advice from my sleep doctor was to slowly increase the pressure. Luckily my machine was self-adjustable. I started low and increased the pressure by 2 psi every 5 to 7 days until I got to the recommended pressure.
