The amount of sleep needed varies from person to person. Some or us only need 6 hours sleep while others may need 10. Exercise and keeping our weight down will help us sleep better. Especially keeping weight down helps with breathing during sleep. Feeling sleepy after lunch has nothing to do with eating. If you have some sleep deprivation on board it will manifest itself in the afternoon do to a circadian dip. If you have all the sleep you need you will not feel sleepy at this time. Try adding 1 hour of sleep and see if the afternoon sleepiness goes away. If it does then you know 6 hours is not what you need.
