You need to go to a sleep lab not a hospital. Yes it sounds like he definitely has obstructive sleep apnea. It will cause all the symptoms you described. The problem is most physicians do not know about this because it is not taught in medical school. Check the Sleep Labs Page on SleepNet and call the closest accredited sleep lab in your area.
