Bumping of frontal lobe to go to sleep

Posted by Murphy on November 29, 1997 at 12:34:45:

My husband has bumped his frontal lobe as far back as an infant. Doctors then said that it was just a phase and he would grow out of it. He is now 24 and still bumps his head. At night he is full of anxiety; he feels that the only way to relax is to bump his head. Recently he's been seeing a psychologist who concluded he has an impulsive behavior problem which is caused by the bumping of his frontal lobe where impulsivness and judgment behavior are derived from. He's been taking Neurontin, which has a variety of uses, but his usage is to gain control of his impulses. It appeared to be working, but he started bumping his head again after a week. Has anyone heard of this sleep disorder and if so do you have any information about it or the treatment involved?
