Suggest you hang onto that puppy for awhile. It is my professional experience that until a follow-up sleep study shows that the apnea really is gone, you run a very substantial risk of still having apnea, just without any snoring. Also, we frequently see patients back in the sleep center 3-4 years post-surjury with all the same complaints as prior to surjury, except they now snore more quietly (even if the snoring was gone right after the surjury.) SEE THY PHYSICIAN! If you REALLY want to get rid of the CPAP, see if your local sleep center will allow you to post a notice, or run an ad in the classifieds of a large city nearby.
