Help! Husband in denial!

Posted by L Smart on January 30, 1998 at 21:45:21:

For two and a half years I have listened to my husband snore, gasp, and choke. I have put up with him walking and talking in his sleep. He sweats, tosses and turns. I sleep at least three or four nights a week in another room. He constantly complains about being tired during the day and typically falls asleep in his chair by 8pm. But will he admit he has a sleeping problem? Of course not. He atributes my sleeplessness to MY "overly sensative hearing". What am I to do??? I have a toddler to take care of all day and my sleep at night is extemely important to me. What in the world can I do or say to make him realize that this is causing a genuine problem and that it is something that he needs to do something about??? Your thoughts would be appreciated. LS
