Electric power off. What do you do when it happens?

Ice storms zapped power during three consecutive nights. Sleep deprivation set in and attempts to sleep without CPAP were exhaustive as symptoms instantly reappeared. Does anyone use a small generator or marine deep charge battery or some other device to save the night? Would like to get cracking on being ready for next El Nino inspired event with the electric grid. Thanks.
