Women Who Sleep Too Much

Posted by k t on February 07, 1998 at 17:23:00:

I'm so tired of being thought of as lazy. I'm tired of being late in the morning and groggy alot of the time. And I'm even more tired of not having the time & energy to cope with a normal life...

It seems like I can never get enough sleep. I've been treated for depression in many ways over many years, but nothing seems to help raise my energy levels, help me get up in the morning, or curb the
frequent urge to nap long & hard. Although I get 7-8 hours a night, every weekend I try to catch up by sleeping til I'm done. I am never done! I can easily sleep 38 out of 48 hours. Of course then I feel horrible, but sometime I just can't wake up. There is no such thing as a short nap. I sleep very, very soundly and almost always sleep through alarms.
I have been this way my whole life. These sypmtoms don't seem to match anything on lists of sleep disorders. Is this common? Has anyone out there
had similar problems?
I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
