Light flashes when removing mask

Lately, when I remove my mask, I notice a light flash inside my head. The flash is similar to what you would see if you closed your eyes and pressed down on your eyelids. I'm curious if anyone else has this problem. Also, can anyone tell me what happens if the mask is too tight. I have a gel mask that I use with the soft cap. I try not to tighten it too tightly, but if I don't, there seem to be leaks that cause my alarm to sound. The doctors treat me like my questions are a bother, so I'm asking my fellow sufferers. Any advice would be welcome.

My machine is a self-tytrating SMART C-PAP. And my original setting range was 3-10, which I used for the nasal pillows. When I tried the mask, the 3 setting made me feel like I was sucking air with a straw. I got permission to increase the flow, but not past my original high end of 10. I now use the mask with a 7 setting. I've had good sleeping results, but I'm worried about the light flashes.

Any answers from my peers?
