The somno works well for snoring but is not a reliable treatement for apnea - unless the tissue reduced is the *exact* tissue causing the apnea.
The surgical and laser versions of this surgery have limited success - about 1/2 the patients have a 50% improvement.CPAP is a hassle, but it usually works. The only surgery with a high success rate is tracheostomy.
