The flashes of light could be the symptom of a problem with your retina (i.e. torn or detached). I would try to get in to see an ophthalmologist if I were you. If this is the problem, it is probably unrelated to the CPAP or mask, but should be taken care of soon. If it is a retinal problem and you don't take care of it, it could lead to serious visual problems.
