Whatever you do do not support the proposal, at the moment I attend Chugiak High School in Alaska and we start at 7:30. I notice a lot of kids going to sleep in class because of having to get up early. It is a natrual tendency for teenagers to go to sleep later in the night and sleep longer in the morning. I was very luck last year, i was sent to australia as a rotary exchange student, in australia i didn't start school until 9:00, I felt that i was more alert and refreshed everyday even when i went to sleep late.
So if your school wants to keep productivity levels high for the students and staff I suggest that you stay with your original starting times
