Does anyone recognize these problems?

I am a 36yo male who hasn't slept through the night for the past 8 years or so. On a typical night I fall asleep easily but invariably wake every 2 hours or so. On a good number of occasions I awake with a dry mouth and am typically very thirsty. I also flip/flop around the bed all night long (can't keep the covers on). Needless to say it is very difficult for me to get up in the morning. I usually feel "foggy headed" and very groggy. Takes about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to get out of bed and then another hour to two to feel reasonably functional. On many days I get teriible cases of the mid-afternoon sleepies. I am constantly fatigued and don't have anywhere near the energy I remember having before all of this started. Can anyone out there identify or relate to this situation?
