falling asleep without wanting to

Posted by monica johnson on March 02, 1998 at 15:38:46:

I'm a 38 year old healthy women. For the last year I've had a problem with
falling asleep late afternoons and evenings. If I eat someting, even a
couple of crackers, I can't keep my eyes open. I've never "napped" before.
The sleep is heavy, when I first wake up it feels like I've taken a
sleeping pill or something. The naps last from 10 minutes to 45 minutes
tops. My night time sleep is normal.

Have you heard of this before? Do you have any Idea what causes this? Is
there anything I can do to correct it?
