Although I use a CPAP, not BiPAP, I still thought I was pretty high at 120/hr and a 17 on the pressure. Fortunately, mine is pretty effective, getting me down to 1.5/hr or less. I am overweight with a BMI of 34. If your BMI (body mass index) is high, losing weight is your most effective alternative. Everything I am seeing on the net regarding surgery indicates a max of 40-50 % success rate. With any such major surgery, and particularly with Apnea, the risks of problems are still significant.
