Hi Jennifer,

The symptoms you describe are classic for disordered sleep. They suggest that your sleep is seriously disturbed, possibly by breathing stoppages (apnea), causing you to wake up frequently to resume breathing.

I recommend that you consult with a physician, preferably one specializing in sleep medicine, as soon as possible, as Sleep Apnea, a very common sleep disorder can have disastrous effects on your health.

Also, I recommend that you take some of the self-tests offered in the Sleep Links section of the menu at the top of the Sleep Net Forum page.

Hope this helps,

Brian
