you are experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, as you had aclimated to the Traz. at the higher dose. Had you talked to the prescribing MD about the increase in Traz.? If the Effexor continues to keep you from sleeping, there are other similar anti-depressants that you might try that are a bit more sedating. are you getting the Rx from a psychiatrist, or your regular MD? (most prescriptions for psych meds are written by family doctors, but the family doctors don't know nearly as much about the psych meds as psychiatrists do.) and you may need to discuss whatever other meds you are taking to see if there aren't any drug interactions.
