Thank-you for your advice on the dental appliance.
My Sleep Specialist has been very helpful since I last posted this notice. He has found a dentist who will make the appliance for free. My appliance will apparantly have a special hinge made as well of which the Dr. has had the price reduced. Therefore, the final cost to me will only be $200.
Your experiences with the appliance helps me feel more comfortable in investing the money though. However, my specialist says I will likely have to continue to use the CPAP with the appliance. I can live with that provided the end result is a normal night's sleep so I don't continue falling asleep at embarassing moments.
