Paralysis

Posted by Toni on March 08, 1998 at 11:25:07:

i am looking for some info from anyone who can shed any light on sleep paralysis. Just as i am falling asleep my body becomes paralysed even
though i am conscious and aware of my surroundings. This becomes extremely disturbing and it takes all my will power to make my body move.If i try to relax and fall asleep too soon after i have come out of it ,within a few seconds it reoccurs. When this has been witnessed by my boyfriend he says that my breathing becomes fast and shallow, and my body twitches even though
i cannot feel it. i feel like i am trying to reach out to get his attention but there is no visable movement apart from my body twitching all over. Has anyone else had this because i really need to know more about it's cause and possible cure? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I am based in the UK

toni.
