Hitting brick walls....please read and advise...

Was diagnosed with Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (SOSA) in Sept. 96. Two days after sleep study, was dismissed from my job of 7 yrs. My Sullivan V elite was repo'd at the end of the month I was terminated. The sleep center felt sorry for me and gave me an old one off the shelf in a storeroom. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. I was terrified to face sleeping without it. I applied for Medicaid and Disability due to bad knees. Disability was granted but only after Medicaid had denied me and my appeal was also denied. Now, months later, I face going thru the procedure again with medicaid to try and get medications that I have been without for over a yr and medical supervision for my apnea. My pressures aren't monitored by anyone, my parts are wearing out, I only have disability as income and truly don't understand. Would you believe that my place of employment that fired me for sleeping on the job, forgetfulness, not meeting deadlines, etc. was one of the largest and most prestigious hospitals in Indiana? Yep, that's right.

If anyone has any info that might help me, please let me know. I would so appreciate it.

I am so glad to have found this site. I have my friends online to thank; they steered me here. I can sure relate to the majority of complaints and concerns that all of you have. I will certainly be watching and hopefully helping as I can.
