adjusting to dry nose and mouth

I have used regular passover humidification, but find it a bother to keep distilled water around and keeping the unit clean. I live in a humid climate and wonder if heated humidification would make a difference. Does anyone have any experience with the periodic need for humidification using the heated type unit? Nasal sprays have provided only limited benefit. I look forward other suggestions
