I read that non-heated humidification is just as bad as none for the sinusus.

I was told that I can substitute boiled water for distilled, and I usually boil up a kettle or two every few days and store it in a cabinet in a gallon container (with no light on it). I also wash the humidification chamber daily with anti-bacterial hand soap.
