Paul - My home medical company convinced me as well that insurance would not spring for the heated unless I first tried the passover. I got the Respironics, it was useless, and I now have to pay $50 (my 30%) since they won't take it back. It holds a couple of cups of water, and still had water left after three full nights of sleep. I now use the Sullivan Humidair and use a nearly full load of water each night. Its a huge difference in effectiveness and I am much more comfortable. I suggest that you call your physician and have him complete a certification of medical necessity and a prescription specifically for a heated humidifier.

Is it just me, or is there anyone out there who found good performance from a passover unit?
