Thanks everyone and some questions

Posted by Tom Griffith on March 22, 1998 at 17:29:07:

To everyone that drops me a line about sleep apnea or answers a question I would like to say thankyou. I have been going things in my mind that I am trying to put together. These things are in the form of questions that I have not seen the answer for. If anyone knows some of the answers I would appreciate it.
How long has sleep apnea been recognized?
What is the common or average age of a person when sleep apnea affects them?
Has everyone had a problem with weight gain and being unable to lose it?
Is memory loss permament or is there a way to get it back?
How many people have lost their job due to sleep apnea and is there any help?
This last question is of the biggest concern to me as I must drive 1/2 hour to work and the same back on a highway nd sometimes I have to stop if I want to make it home.
If anyone feels like answering these questions from their own experience or knowledge I would appreciate it.
There are times when you can't sit down and shoot the bull with the doctor and find out everything, you always want to ask something else after you hve left.
Thanks again,
Tom
