Do Nightmares count as a Sleep Disorder

Posted by Craig Parr on March 22, 1998 at 21:37:35:

I still get the nightmares of my youth. I still keep a large quanity of water near the bed, becuase I wake up sweating. Thank God the frequency of bad dreams has slowed as time and distence from the war continues. I never, or hardly remember much, when I do, its just green machine stuff. Its not that I can't sleep, I just hate to.
I realize it is abnormal to have bad memories of a bad place for so long, but it was a superanormal experience. The short version is 68% causualties, 2 units total wipe outed, once couldn't take or leave the 12 wounded, 44 EKIA, 6 PHs, and 3 yrs in VA per injuries.
I do believe it is normal to be loner after such a life experience. I have accepted the rewards of being a vet.
But I do wonder if I can ever get to sleep, without the seemingly eternal curse of possible bad dreams.
Apropos to nothing, but since my computer name is Sorcerer, does anyone know where I could get the header clip art of this site.
