Hi Chelsea. You and I corresponded about a month ago about our similar sleep problems. I just wanted to let you know that I'm scheduled for an initial consultation at the sleep clinic tomorrow.
I got a referral from my "primary care physician"
(gotta love HMO-speak), who also said "Sounds like
apnea! Go see so-n-so." Well, it's encouraging to think it may be all cut and dried and probably treatable. I'll let you know what happens. Meanwhile, let me know how things are with you and whether you've been able to make any headway. The one thing I've learned so far is that the clinics are stacked up for appointments for months. I was VERY lucky to sneak in on a last minute cancellation. (Maybe it's because of national sleep awareness week and all the recent publicity?) The reason I'm mentioning this is that if you have any leads, but can't afford or don't have time yet to pursue this, it might be worthwhile to just try and make an appointment for a time down the road so that you won't have to wait eons to get an appointment later on. You can always cancel it if things don't work out...
Let me know how things are going.

-K T
