The specialist told me that when they tried to find a satisfactory pressure that they made adjustments all through the night. They found that if they increased the pressure it was worse and the same results with lower pressure. Further studies got the episodes less frequent, but the resulting pressure was still unsatisfactory. The Doctor said my sleep patterns fluctuate too much for the machine to be titrated in the lab, so he had me keep a diary at different pressures that were changed every 2 weeks. This still did not help. I am finally getting the oral appliance made. I'll have it next week. I sure hope it helps. The doctor did warn me that I'll likely have to continue to use the CPAP as well.
