Hi, I'm seventeen and I have been diagnosed with clinical depression. One of my most prominent and life-effecting symptoms was that of the inability to wake up. I have slept through days without the slightest clue that time was going by. Since, you have already been diagnosed as having depression, are you on any medication for it? My psychiatrist put me on Zoloft. I know that the whole shrink business is a little out of the norm, but in this day and age, so many people see therapists that it seems hip, or something. So don't worry about that. True, it is strange sometimes, but talking does help. Also, I recommend talking to a close friend of some kind...family, lover, co-worker, anyone you can trust. I have found it even more helpful sometimes to talk to my friends about it than to my therapist. Also, my friends have played a key part in getting me up and functioning.
