Well, since I posted my first message about swallowing air, I've been put on a BiPap machine. At first I had intermittent bloating but now that I've had the Bipap for awhile, I have the problem rarely. I haven't seen my doc yet for the followup but I will mention the possibility that air pressure is too high. The Cpap had a pressure of 17 and this has an inhalation pressure of 20 and an exhalation of 10. The reason they raised it to 20 was because I wasn't getting enough oxygen (due to mild asthma) and the higher pressure brought the levels up. As I say, though, the bloating problem has lessened considerably.

Thanks for your response.
