If all you suffer from are central apneas sometimes just using oxygen at 1 or 2 liters per minute can resolve these events. If you have both obstructive and central apneas then oxygen can be added to the CPAP, but it is difficult to know without knowing more specifics about your first diagnostic study. If you have already had 2 studies and they want you to have yet another one and they still haven't resolved your problems, it might be a good idea to go to another doctor with another sleep lab to get a second opinion. Not all sleep labs (or doctors) are created equal.
