I was diagnosed with ACM in October of 1998, I had the surgery performed by a doctor who is a member of the ACM Association but I had the headaches along with neck pain and muscle weekness. I decided to have the surgery on January 5, 1999. The one main reason I decided to have the surgery is because I did not want the symptoms to progress and destroy the nervous system anymore than it probably had. After surgery I remained in the hospital for 2 days and when I woke from surgery I did not have any headaches and I still do not have any headaches except normal ones. I do still have neck stiffness but it is getting better and I belive that I am doing 95% better now than I was before surgery. At least now I can pick my son up with out getting a major head rush.

What ever you decide make sure it is the right decision for you and that you believe it will work.

Good Luck
Kathy
