Posted by Mark Eliasson, RRT, R.PSG.T on February 17, 2000 at 09:19:46:I posted this on the diagnostic forum without success. Here is my question. We have a 26 y.o male with life long EDS and stimulant abuse. (large doses of iced tea at 10y.o. Coffee and no doze in junior high then speed (to present) and acid x 2 years.) He had a very positive MSLT following a three-week "vacation" from speed. He is currently enrolled in a hospital based recovery program.
1. Has anyone dealt with this type of patient?
2. Would you repeat the MSLT in 3-6 months/sooner?
3. Other ideas/comments?
Thank you.
