I agree with Sandman. Unfortunately you can't really determine the site of obstruction accurately, because the site changes when you do anything to the upper airway.
An adjustable dental orthotic that protrudes the jaw (like the Klearway device) is wonderful and simple to use, if it works.
The success rates are about 50-60% for sleep apnea, and the devices must be custom made (ie they're expensive- CDN$800 in my city)
Simpler orthotics like NPB Nellcor's Silent Night orthotic device are much cheaper (CDN$100) but less well retained in the mouth, and therefore less successful.
Don't go with a non adjustable device.
Once more, get evaluated properly!
Fix the hole before the ship sinks.
