There's a type of behavior therapy for your situation. It takes determination to get throught it, but it works for a lot of people.
The first night, stay up ALL night and ALL the next day.
The next night go to sleep at the time you would
like to be your regular, permanent bedtime. Sleep as long as you can, up to 4 hours. When you wake up, get up and do not go back to bed or nap until night 3.
The third night, go to bed at the same bedtime as night 2. Sleep as long as you can, up to 4 hours. When you wake up, get up, don't go back to bed or sleep until the next night's bedtime.
Keep repeating until you sleep 90% or more of the 4 hours for 2 nights in a row. Then do the same thing with 5 hours until you can do 90% or better for 2 nights at 5 hours. Then try 6 hours, etc, etc.
It's very important not to cheat and nap.If you can't do this, try talking to a physician who's an expert in sleep. You can locate an accreditated sleep center at www.asda.org.
Good luck.
