air leaking onto my eyes no matter what I do!

Posted by Lynn Ellen on April 05, 1998 at 14:18:54:

I have a gold seal mask. I tighten it, so that I have marks on my face in the morning and a dent at the bridge of my nose. I loosen it, but then air gushes out. I push it up higher on my face, I lower it. Nothing prevents air leaks onto my eyes, and I am tired of waking with dry, irritated eyes. not red irritated, but uncomfortable none-the-less. I put a sleep mask on and then put the breathing mask over it and it helped, but sometimes I don't want to have my eyes covered. I also have the humidifier turned down to the lowest setting during El Nino, and I still get a face-ful of water when I come back from the bathroom in the middle of the night. this also reduces the ability of the mask to seal even more, making more leaks. I've been on assisted breathing for over a year and I love having my life back, but I have yet to have a single nite when I have been comfortable and untroubled by the eqipment. any advise??
